Tomorrow morning (June 2, 2022) October Books celebrate the rich history of the city they’ve spent more than 40 years serving the people of – Southampton.
The Local History Morning, held at their Portswood Road store, will include booksignings and one-on-one chats with local authors and historians, local artists and creators.
Among those at the event, which begins at 10.30am, will be author Martin Brisland signing copies of his new book Celebrating Southampton and Ally Hayes with copies of A Walk up the Avenue.
Bookshop Coordinator Clare Diaper said: “It’s great to be having a couple of local authors in the building.
“A Walk up the Avenue has been our best seller this year.”
“There will be other people selling cards and somebody else giving a talk on Southampton’s migrant tour.”
