A DRUG driver with no licence or insurance failed to stop for police.

Wesley Jane appeared in court after he was caught drug driving on Botley Road on March 3.

The 25-year-old then was found to have THC - a breakdown product of cannabis in his system.

Jane failed to stop for police and also had no licence or insurance.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted drug driving, failing to stop for police,  driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.

Jane, of no fixed address, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
