A MAN has been charged with possessing a knife following an incident in Southampton.

Police were called to Carlton Place last Saturday after door staff reported that a man trying to enter their venue had a knife.

Kane Bell, 18, of Greenfields Avenue, Totton, has been charged with possession of a knife, blade, or sharply-pointed article in a public place.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today and was bailed to appear at the same court on November 4.
