LULU will kick off a tour of her most intimate show to date in a tiny Hampshire venue next year.

On the eve of the 60th anniversary of her biggest hit Shout, the British music legend will open For The Record, her first tour since 2019, at Thornden Hall in Chandler's Ford on April 15 2023.

From James Bond to The Eurovision Song Contest, the show will combine remarkable stories and stunning clips with song.

It's being billed as a chance to get to know the star, who has entertained legions of fans across 60 glorious years in showbiz.

Lulu told the Daily Echo: "I’m excited to be sharing my story and my music with my first tour in four years.

"It’s been an incredible story and I’m looking forward to telling that in For The Record. This is a completely different show to anything I’ve ever done before."

The show will feature stories from Lulu’s remarkable career – from being friends with The Beatles to marrying a Bee Gee, from winning the Eurovision Song Contest to enjoying a colossal global hit with Shout, from her relationship with David Bowie to the wonder of Relight My Fire, her Number One hit single with Take That.

There will be exclusive photography and never previously seen video footage as well as a selection of incredible songs from a pop icon whose star continues to burn bright.

Lulu headlined the Smoked & Uncut festival at The Pig in Brockenhurst last month. She has played locally many times, most notably with Take That as part of their Greatest Hits Tour which enjoyed two nights at St Mary's Stadium in May 2019.

She also performed at the home of the Saints as support to Elton John back in 2005 and has been a regular visitor to The Concorde Club in Eastleigh over the years.

Tickets for the opening night of the tour, which takes in 61 dates across the UK between April and November, are on sale now from thorndenhall.co.uk
