A WEST End theatre producer is returning to his roots, bringing a concert by Kiki Dee to the intimate Hampshire theatre where he performed as a teenager.

Steve Ward has produced a number of shows and concerts in prestigious venues around the globe and runs The Aldwych Theatre in London, home of Tina, the Tina Turner Musical, but started out as a member of Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (RAODS).

Now he's bringing an acoustic journey of stories and song by Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri to the stage in Romsey on Friday March 31, 2023.

Steve told the Daily Echo: “The Plaza Theatre gave me an invaluable insight into all areas of the theatre, from backstage and technical to treading the boards, which inspired me to follow a career in the business."

Nearly 30 years later, having recently moved back to Ampfield, Steve intends to produce a series of concerts on home turf.
