POLICE have warned people to avoid a street in Southampton as they deal with an incident.
Southampton police officers are at an address in Parsonage Road over concern for a man's welfare - but said they are also ensuring the safety of members of the public.
A statement published on Wednesday at around 9.15pm said: "We just wanted to let you know that we are currently in attendance at an address on Parsonage Road following a report of the concern for the welfare of a man.

"We have attended the scene to ensure the safety of the man involved as well as members of the public.
"We would like to ask local residents to please avoid the area if possible at the current time and to please avoid any speculation on social media. We will update you as soon as we can."
