Secondary schools in the area have been busy organising proms for their final year students.

As we all know, outfits are an essential part of prom preparations, but what about transport?

It's fair to say some put a lot of thought (and money!) into how to get to the glamorous locations playing host to their proms.

Southampton students are no exception.

From sports cars, to ice creams vans and American rigs - here are eight times sixteen-year-olds have wowed their peers at this year's proms.
