AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man whose body was found on a busy Southampton road.

Matthew George Wickes, originally from Lancashire, died on June 30 at Southampton General Hospital.

The inquest heard that Mr Wickes, 21, was found under a bridge on Thomas Lewis Way.

Area coroner Jason Pegg said the preliminary cause of death had been given as a traumatic head injury due to a fall from height.
