SCOTTISH rockers The Snuts have announced a return to Southampton and a release date for their second album.

The West Lothian four-piece were last here three years ago when they played a sold-out gig at The Joiners. They have since had a number one debut album, played some of the biggest festivals and supported acts like Kings of Leon.

Now lead singer Jack Cochrane, lead guitarist Joe McGillveray, bassist Callum Wilson and drummer Jordan McKay will play The Engine Rooms on West Quay Road in October, the same month they release their second album Burn the Empire.

New tunes will be keenly anticipated, but fans can also expect to hear earlier tracks such as Glasgow, All Your Friends and Maybe California, the songs that put the band on the map when they first broke through.

Tickets go on sale later this month.
