A KEY route in and out Southampton was closed due to a sinkhole - but has now reopened.
The A35 Redbridge Causeway was shut from Rushington roundabout at around 9am today after a sinkhole appeared in the middle of the road.
Hampshire County Council's highways team said one lane closure was in place and that workers would reopen the road "as soon as we can".
They have now confirmed that the sinkhole has been fixed and the reopen is open again.
The A35 Redbridge Causeway has reopened after our @hantshighways crews fixed a hole that had appeared in the carriageway overnight.
