Children will have to let the decision slide as the play equipment could cause burns when exposed to extreme heat, which we are seeing now.

Slides in New Century Park, Knowle Park and the green space adjacent to Horton Heath Community Centre have been closed to the public.

The council is urging people to “keep hydrated” and reminds people there are two water bottle filling stations, one at the left side of the Parish Office in Knowle Park Lane and the other at Lapstone Pavilion.
