HOUSED inside a cool listed building with exposed brickwork and neon lights, this city bar sells craft beer from around the world.

Tucked away on Upper Bannister Street, just yards from buzzing Bedford Place, BrewDog Southampton has been dubbed a two-floor palace of craft beer.

BrewDog has been serving the people of Southampton for nearly six years. It became the 46th bar the irreverent brewers opened in September 2016.

The bar, with an open mezzanine and stripped back interior, enjoys Lost Lager, Punk IPA, Hazy Jane, Planet Pale and Elvis Juice as its main headliners alongside an amazing vanilla milk stout called Jet Black Heart.

General manager Alan Henley said: “We sell delicious craft beer produced by our BrewDog breweries across the world, plus an ever-changing range from the best guest craft breweries around. That’s 29 taps of awesomeness for you to choose from!

“Our site is a really cool listed building, with a true ‘BrewDog’ aesthetic - exposed brickwork and neon lights.”

Daily Echo:

BrewDog serves burgers and buffalo wings with plenty of meat and plant-based options to choose from as well as a full pizza menu. You can even book in for a flight board of beers and a cheeseboard or knowledgeable staff are on hand to suggest the perfect beer pairing for each and every burger on the menu.

A series of offers includes two for the price of one on all veggie and vegan mains every Monday, Wings Wednesday with all you can eat chicken, cauliflower or vegan seitan wings during your two hour slot and Prosecco Fridays with £10 off all bottles of prosecco all day and night on Fridays.

The Mind Games pub quiz returned to its usual weekly slot on a Tuesday earlier this month.

Daily Echo:

The bar is a very dog-friendly spot and is also child friendly until 9pm.

BrewDog founders James Watt and Martin Dickie decided they were fed up of the stuffy UK beer market, so aged just 24 they started making their own hardcore craft beers in Fraserburgh, a small town in north East Scotland in 2007.

Punk IPA kick-started a craft beer revolution and they’ve since gone on to brew hundreds of different beers. From session-strength pale ales and lagers to epic imperial stouts and sours, the BrewDog range has something for everyone.
