FIRE services attended St Mary's Stadium and it was evacuated this evening.
More than 100 people were temporarily told to leave at a University of Southampton event.
The Vice Chancellor's dinner was interrupted at around 7.30pm, when Hampshire Fire and Rescue attended and the venue was cleared.
