THE FIRST winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK has been revealed as the headliner for the city's upcoming Pride event.

The Vivienne will be the main attraction of Southampton Pride as the annual celebration returns to Guildhall Square on Saturday, August 27. 

Announcing the news on Facebook, the organisers of the community event said The Vivienne is "without doubt the UK's No.1 drag superstar."

The Colwyn Bay-born drag queen shot to fame following her win on the popular TV show and has since produced her own internet show, appeared on TV, and even starred in the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars,

She will be performing at Pride in the city, alongside a range of performers.

Further information about Southampton Pride is set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
