A WOMAN has died after a three-car crash in the car park of a Chinese restaurant. 

A 68-year-old woman has died following a crash at Kams Palace restaurant in Park Gate. 

Three people were rushed to hospital following the pile-up between a white Hyundai, a grey Suzuki X Cross and a white Volvo V40. 

Police say that the family of the woman from Gosport is now being supported by officers.

However, an 84-year-old Gosport man remains in critical condition in hospital.

A 66-year-old Gosport woman who was originally in a serious condition has since been discharged. 

Acting PS Cheryl Cumming is leading the investigation into the incident on July 20. 

She said: “My thoughts go out to the woman's family at this difficult time.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, particularly if they have dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident.

“Your information could be invaluable to our investigation.”

Police remained at the scene throughout the day after the crash at around 1.45pm last Wednesday. 

One of the vehicles had been parked at the Chinese restaurant in Bridge Road. 

Following the incident, photos of an air ambulance landing nearby were shared with the Echo. 

Police attended and Wave105Travel reported that traffic was "slow all round", particularly from Bridge Road and Hunts Pond Road. 

A witness reported hearing "a loud bang".

Commenting at the time, a spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "We were called at 1.45pm on July 20 to a serious two-car collision in the car park of a restaurant in Bridge Road, Park Gate.

"Three people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. We remain at the scene at this time."
