A SOUTHAMPTON man has been fined for failing to comply with a dispersal order.

Nicholas Limbumba appeared in court following the incident on April 16.

The court heard how the 58-year-old did not comply with a section 35 direction, which excluded him from a certain area of the city for a limited amount of time.

A dispersal order gives officers special powers to split up groups and ask people to leave the area.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of failing to comply with a section 35 direction.

Limbumba, of Radcliffe Road, Southampton, was fined £150.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.
