As the school summer holidays are in full swing, there's still the weekends to fill.

Here's our pick of five family-friendly activities to keep you entertained over the next two days:

Tudor House and Garden Summer Fete, Saturday

Daily Echo:

A day of family fun will celebrate 110 years since Tudor House opened as a museum with an entry fee of 6p.

For one day only, entry has been reduced to £2.50, the equivalent of £6p today.

Enjoy hunting for hidden fairies in the garden, try your hand at archery, make a wand, tour the old town and have your face painted.

Old Town tours are available to pre-book. You can enjoy wand making workshops or tuck into a barbecue in the garden.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm.

Saints v Villarreal, St Mary's Stadium, Saturday 3pm

Daily Echo:

Saints host Champions League semi-finalists Villarreal in a high-profile friendly at St Mary’s on Saturday.

The fixture against Unai Emery’s team, at 3pm, will mark the conclusion of the pre-season programme and will form a key part of preparations for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

The La Liga side are coming off the back of another memorable campaign, in which they reached the final four of the Champions League, knocking out European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich before being beaten in the semi-finals by Liverpool.

That impressive run followed their Europa League triumph in the 2020/21 season, when they beat Manchester United in the final of the competition to secure the trophy.

Saints will face Villarreal ten days after returning from their training camp in Austria and following Wednesday's home fixture with historic Ligue 1 club Monaco.
