A SOUTHAMPTON woman stole hundreds of pounds from her victim and assaulted police.

Kelly Marie Loader has been jailed following a string of offences.

The 43-year-old stole a bag full of items from a woman in Southampton on December 19, 2020.

On the same day, she stole £450 from the same woman.

Just a few weeks later, on January 1, 2021, she assaulted two police officers.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, she admitted three charges of theft and two charges of assaulting an emergency worker by beating.

Loader, of Cleasby Close, Southampton, was jailed for a total of 23 weeks and was ordered to pay compensation of £650.
