A SOUTHAMPTON man has been hauled before court for drug driving.

Hardav Bhakar was caught drug driving a Vauxhaul Astra on College Street in the city on December 30 last year.

The 45-year-old was found to have cocaine and benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine in his system.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted two charges of drug driving and one charge of failing to surrender to court.

Bhakar, of Derby Road, Southampton, was released on unconditional bail until the next hearing on August 24 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
