A SOUTHAMPTON man who was driving without care failed to stop for police.

Ryan Day was seen driving his Vauxhall Corsa without due care and attention on Millbrook Road West on May 1 last year.

The 22-year-old then failed to stop for police when required to do so.

At Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of one charge of driving without due care and attention and one charge of failing to stop for police.

Day, of New Road, Southampton, was fined £600 and his driving license was endorsed with five points.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £620.
