THE following cases were hard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

JOSE PINTO DE LIMA, 5, of Mortimer Road, Botley. Admitted one charge of speeding at 80mph, exceeding the legal speed limit of 70mp on the M4. Fined £66 and driving licence endorsed with three points. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.

DEMPSEY FOREMAN, 26, of Northlands Road Southampton. Admitted one charge of criminal damage after damaging a door worth £1,180 at Tonepark in Southampton. Fined £200. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.

RICHARD DANIEL ALAN KITCHER, 31, of Efford Way, Pennington. Admitted one charge of using threatening and abusive words and behaviour and one charge of assault by beating. The court found the offence to be religiously aggravated. Ordered to complete 80 days of alcohol abstinence and was fined £50. Also ordered to pay compensation of £75 as well as a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £150.

HARRY SIMMONDS, 23, of Romsey Road, Southampton. Pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offender register by failing to share his address with police within three days of being released from custody. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and court costs of £100.

JENNIFER NOICE, 32, of Warburton Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of assault by beating. Released on unconditional bail until the next hearing on September 7 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

BENJAMIN PERRY, 33, of Locksbridge Road, Andover. Admitted one charge of drink driving in Southampton. Released on bail until October 12 to consider if there are special reasons for not ordering an endorsement or disqualification.
