A DRIVER has been caught speeding at almost 100mph through the New Forest.

Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said the driver "will be hearing from them" after the person were clocked at 93mph.

The driver was seen speeding down a 40mph New Forest road - the B3054 Dibden Purlieu to Beaulieu.

On Twitter, they said: "A driver has been caught today by SRU travelling at a speed of 93mph.

"This was in the New Forest on a 40mph road!

"They will be hearing from us.

"Hitting an animal, cyclist or person at that speed would almost certainly kill them."
