A WOMAN is on a mission to change the face of skincare after having two miscarriages and cancer treatment that left her with acne.

Sian Louise from Warsash was diagnosed with cervical cancer last November.

Prior to this, the 34-year-old also had two miscarriages.

Despite facing a number of personal hurdles along the way, Sian not only defied the odds but surpassed them and has now turned her passion for skincare into a money-making business. Daily Echo:

Her husband and number one supporter, Ali Colson, helped turn his wife's dream into reality.

Sharing her husband's kind gesture, Sian said: "I started experimenting with products in my kitchen and was making a mess.

"My husband turned our garden shed into a home lab in only three months.

"It's got all the equipment that I need."

After many trials and errors, Sian launched Obvs Skincare, which provides organic, biodegradable, vegan, and sustainable products. Daily Echo:

The businesswoman added: "After my second miscarriage and multiple rounds of IVF treatment, my hormones were all over the place and my skin was constantly breaking out in terrible acne.

"The acne would physically hurt so much, and my confidence was at an all-time low.

"I could not find anything on the high street that would work." Daily Echo:

Obvs Skincare range provides effective treatment for children and adults prone to acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

The Hampshire business is growing every day with hopes of reaching the shelves of European and American shoppers.

The skincare line has seen rapid growth in sales of its handmade organic and vegan skincare products. Daily Echo:

Obvs Skincare is also the only Soil Association COSMOS Organic certified business in the world to be using a new, innovative, 100 per cent biodegradable package.

Since launching in May 2021, the brand has won Vegan Skincare of the Year in the South East Prestige Awards for its dedication to providing completely organic, biodegradable, vegan and sustainable (Obvs) products for people with sensitive skin conditions.

It was also awarded a bronze award for ‘Leave on Skincare’ from the Organic Naked Moisturiser Free From Skincare Awards.

On her business success, Sian said: "It is literally the best feeling in the world.

"For the past ten years, I have worked in IT recruitment, so to achieve this is just incredible." Daily Echo:

Sian, who is now cancer free, hopes to make a difference to people who feel trapped by their skin conditions or insecurities.

She added: "I want my products to inspire people and help them live a happy and confident life.

"If my story and business can help encourage just one person to chase their dreams, I’ll be happy.

"Life is for living and no skin condition, illness, or insecurity should stop someone from doing that."
