CCTV images have been released after a man followed a woman and made a lewd comment.

Police said a man approached a woman as she left Asda in Portland Terrace, Southampton at around 4.15pm on Tuesday,

He then repeatedly asked if he could hold her bags.

But when the woman answered no each time, he followed her back to her car in the Ikea car park.

He is alleged to have behaved inappropriately towards her, making a lewd comment. 

Now police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident. 

He is white, in his mid 20s, slim to thin, 5ft 10ins tall and has overlapping teeth.

Police staff investigator Megan Wheeler said: “This incident caused great upset and distress to the woman involved.

“If you are the man in these images, or know who he is, please get in touch with us.”
