TIME is running out if the Boat House renovations are to be completed in time for the launch date at the end of August.

When married couple Maria and Steven Harris took over the property, the place was in a derelict state, and they realised there was a lot of hard work ahead of them.

Maria said: “We are really excited, and the local community have pushed that as they are really excited for us too.”

“Today, I feel we won’t make it in time, but it changes by the hour, and we have some really committed people working for us. We’ve set the date now, so we have to do it.”

The Boat House is a beautiful building, and the external transformation is considerable. It looks fresh and bright and up to date.

Inside, it is a hive of activity with builders and plumbers working feverishly and the owners in various meetings.

The garden area is a decent size and in time, the riverside setting will become a relaxing space. A kiosk has also been set up outside the building for takeaways.

Maria is aiming for a relaxed vibe during the day and the plan is to create a special atmosphere in the evening with the focus on good dining.
