A FESTIVAL of good music and good food came to a climax as four days of events held in the grounds of luxury hotels wrapped up on Saturday with a performance from Supergrass.

The Smoked & Uncut Festival saw events held at four hotels over the summer - Lime Wood in the New Forest, The Pig at Brockenhurst, The Pig at Pensford and The Pig at Bridge Place in Kent.

The festival was put on by Robin Hutson, who owns the chain of luxury hotels.

Big names such as Earth, Wind and Fire, Lulu and Jools Holland also performed across the days, which also saw good food made by top chefs including Angela Harnett served in set festings.

Robin said the festival was so well received they are already working on plans for next year.

Daily Echo:

He said: "It was so very good to get back to normal this year with four very successful Smoked and Uncut Festivals across four different hotels.

"Helped along by good weather, great headliners and fabulous guest chefs, we sold tickets to around 12,000 festival goers.

"The season culminated in a great day this past weekend at The Pig at Bridge Place with a sea of dancing fans as Supergrass topped the bill... particularly fitting given the Rock and Roll heritage of this building that hosted the likes of Led Zeppelin and the Moody Blues in 60’s and 70’s!

"We will soon start planning our 2023 offering, but given this seasons success you can be sure of lots more fun next summer."
