A FLEETING visit to Hampshire was very much a family affair for one style guru who transformed three women with radical new wardrobes.
Presenter of Channel 4's How to Look Good Naked, Gok Wan, dropped in on West Quay's New Look to spread his stylish midas touch with flamboyant outfits and golden accessories.
But the sleek-haired designing diva was no stranger to Southampton.
He said: "My mum's side of the family are all from around here.
My nan lives in Eastleigh and I have aunts in Portsmouth and Chichester. I was in Southampton only last year to take my nan for a coffee."
Screaming girls greeted Gok at every turn as he worked his magic on competition winners Kelly Seymour, of Beaver Drive, Eastleigh, Lyndsey Hammond, of Wellbrook Gardens, Chandler's Ford and Lisa Smallman, of Gemini Close, Lordshill.
Daily Echo winner, Kelly was delighted with her transformation.
She said: "I would never normally buy any of this.
When Gok first showed me a long dress I wasn't sure.
"I always wear trousers but once I had put it on, it felt great. It was comfortable and I quite liked the gold bangles and necklace."
