CIVIC dignitaries and guests gathered in Southampton to celebrate the achievements of Jim Dowdall.
More than 60 people packed the Mayor's office to see the 82-year-old, who was recently made an MBE for services to the community of Thornhill, presented with two glasses bearing the Southampton crest.
Among those at the celebrations were guests of Mr Dowdall as well as the Mayor of Southampton Councillor Stephen Barnes-Andrews and representatives of Southampton City Council's Healthy Communities Project.
