One Hampshire band can be forgiven for blowing their own trumpet after winning a place in the National Brass Bands finals.
Otterbourne Brass is celebrating after beating off competition from 12 other bands, to represent the West of England in the finals in September.
Judges were blown away by the band's interpretation of the music and set pieces, led by musical director Lt Col Chris Davis OBE.
However, if they are to make it to the finals in Harrogate, they need to raise funds for accommodation and travel and are looking for support from businesses.
Mike Davis, band secretary, said: "This is great news for our band and we are all very proud of this achievement. We hope to bring more good news to our many supporters in September."
