A MARRIED computer teacher today dismissed claims that he engaged in sex acts with a teenage pupil as "absolute rubbish".

Neale Gordon, 54, denies two charges of abusing a position of trust through sexual activity with a child.

The trial at Portsmouth Crown Court heard that the 16-year-old girl, claimed to have performed a sex act with Gordon, a father-of-two, in the back seat of his Volvo estate car.

When asked by Stephen Smyth, defending, whether there was any truth in the allegations, he said: "Absolutely no truth".

Gordon, of Fairmead Walk, Waterlooville, said that the girl's allegation that they kissed in the office of his classroom at a school in the Fareham area was simply not true.

He admitted taking the girl out to lunch as a reward for her work in the school but denied kissing her in a pub.

He said: "It's absolute rubbish that a teacher of my experience would do something like that in public, let alone in a pub."

He said that as he drove her home, she asked him to pull over when she kissed him.

He said: "She said I have something to give you. She slid across her side and planted a kiss on my lips.

"I was somewhat taken aback and I didn't know how to handle it. I was stunned because I hadn't encouraged it in anyway.

"I couldn't believe she had got her wires so crossed. I pushed her away, I said 'This is ridiculous, are you trying to get me arrested?' I was quite angry."

The head of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department said that the girl had contacted him through the MSN internet messaging service about five or six times.

He said: "There was nothing of a sexual nature spoken to that girl by me at all.

"There was some personal information just between us, her talking about some problems she was having outside of school - that was a continuation of conversations we had in school."
