SHE IS usually seen in the latest fashions dripping with designer labels bought from the trendiest boutiques of Hollywood.

Paris Hilton is usually photographed in an elegant pose clad in sequins and stilettos and even with matching pooch under her arm.

But when the multi-millionairess decided to drop into Southampton this week she was looking anything but her old self.

In fact the IT girl looked more suited to a youth club on a city housing estate than the expensive fashion stores of Rodeo Drive, Beverley Hills.

Dressed in a hoodie and tracky bottoms the only thing that was recognisable from Paris's usual attire were her over-sized designer sun glasses.

And today the Daily Echo can reveal that you do not have to have the wealth of a worldwide hotel empire behind you to adopt the new-look grunge style of the 27-year-old celebrity.

In fact, we discovered you too could look like Paris for as little as just £17.20 by shopping in the centre of Southampton.

For some reason - perhaps her new romance with Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden - Miss Hilton has adopted a rock chick look.

Paris and Benji have reportedly been dating since February and the blonde A-list socialite joined the band for their six-date UK tour including a gig at Southampton's Guildhall on Monday night.

One Southampton fashion store manager wondered: "What is she trying to say with this new look? She's in Chav city? Everywhere else she goes she is all dolled up.

"But it just shows that that you don't have to be dripping in money to dress like one of the world's most famous celebrities."

Here's how you can look like Paris for £17.20.

  • Black hoodie with a white logo: £10 New Look men's range
  • Matching track suit bottoms with white double stripe: £3 Primark
  • White camisole: £2.20 Primark
  • Large black rimmed shades: £2 Primark
