Southern skies have proven to be the most popular when it comes to alien activity with more UFO sightings than anywhere else in the country.
People in the south-east have claimed to have seen more unidentified flying objects per head per population than any other region in Britain.
As many as 23 per cent of southerners have looked into the night sky and spotted strange objects above, a survey by insurance company esure found.
The results come just days after the country's own X-Files revealed UFOs were seen more than 40 times in the last ten years over Hampshire.
The never-seen-before files released by the Ministry of Defence revealed there were 42 reports of UFO sightings in the county that were passed on for examination between 1997 and 2007.
Overall 12 per cent of Britons have seen mysterious flying objects, with two per cent of those surveyed claiming to have seen more than five.
