A robin turned the normal garden pecking order on its head as it ruffled the feathers of a blackbird in this scene pictured in Hythe.
Normally robins have to wait their turn while bigger birds such as blackbirds and magpies eat their fill.
However, with the arrival of springtime and with chicks to feed it was not the time to be chicken-hearted and this little bird dived in and grabbed its share of tasty worms from a bird table as the bigger bird looked on indignantly.
