A SEARCH has been launched for a man who went missing this morning after going for a bike ride with his wife. 

Charles Robert Pugh, 72, is currently on holiday in the New Forest

He was last seen near Beechen Lane in Lyndhurst after he went for a bike ride with his wife this morning. 

He became separated from her at around 12.30pm today. 

A police spokesperson said Charles, who likes to be called Rob, may appear confused adding: "we are concerned for his welfare". 

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim to medium build, bald with some short grey hair around the back and sides. 

He was last seen wearing a black cycling top, black waterproof trousers, blue trainers with fluorescent orange and yellow soles and green fluorescent gloves. 

He is also wearing glasses and riding a grey/silver mountain bike.

The spokesperson added: "If you have seen him since 12.30pm this afternoon or think you might know where he is, please call us immediately on 101 quoting 44220403397."
