TWO MEN are due in court following a serious assault which left a woman fighting for her life.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, suffered serious injuries during the attack in the early hours of Sunday.

They were found unconscious in Leigh Road, Eastleigh just before 2.30am.

Both were taken to hospital where the woman remains in a critical condition.

Two men have now been charged in connection with the attack.

Jack Limburn, 27, of Fair Oak Road, Fair Oak, has been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

Jake Paul George Lucas, 27, of Samuel Jarvis Avenue, Fair Oak, has been charged with assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and section 18 - wounding with intent.

They will appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
