Southampton Christmas market: Full list of prices

Run by S&D Leisure, the popular attraction will be in Above Bar Street until Christmas Eve.

Thousands of shoppers are expected to visit between now and then to enjoy the cheerful atmosphere and, of course, tasty food and drinks.

But how expensive will a trip to the market be in 2022?

As the cost of living crisis grips Britain, many will be wondering whether rising inflation and other economic challenges have had an impact on this year's prices.

To answer this question and give you an idea of what you can expect - we popped down to the market to check out menus and price lists.

Food and drink

Roast pork and Yorkshire pudding wraps – Roast pork bap £6, roast pork baguette £7, Yorkshire pudding wrap £9, crackling £2, and roast potatoes £2

Sweets and candy floss – Varying prices, which include £2 for small bags

Donuts - £4 for donuts in a tray, £5 for three Kinder Bueno donuts, and £5 for five donuts with sugar in a bag

Churros – Prices range from £6 to £12, with the latter figure for a sharing box of churros. Toppings include sugar, cinnamon, Nutella, Lotus Biscoff, white chocolate, or Belgium chocolate.

Various kinds of cheese and chutneys - £7 each or three types of cheese for £18

Marshmallows to roast over an open firepit - £5 each

Handmade brownies with vegan options - £3 each or four for £10

Old English Fudge - £2.99 per 100g

Chocolate kisses - £1.50 each or 12 for £14.99

Garlic mushrooms - £6

Chicken schnitzel - either served as a meal with potatoes or in a crusty roll with salad - £8

Ham hock rolls served in a crusty roll with mustard or sauerkraut - £8

Mini Dutch pancakes with toppings – Varying prices, ranging from £5 to £6.50

Swing grill with German sausages – Varying prices

Bar – Different prices for different drinks
