A TEENAGER has been arrested after police raided a cannabis factory in Hedge End.

Officers carried out the warrant at an address on Luck Road at 8.30am today. 

Inside, they found and seized 250 plants.

A 17-year-old Vietnamese national has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating a Class B drug. He remains in custody at this time.

Police remain on the scene while the factory is dismantled.

SSE will also be on site to ensure that neighbouring properties are safe.

It warned there could be power outages for a short period of time.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We’re really keen to hear from people who suspect there is cannabis cultivation or drug-related activity going on in their neighbourhood.

"Every call you make to us is logged and helps us build up an intelligence picture about what might be happening in your community.

"This allows us to take action and protect neighbourhoods from drug-related harm caused by this criminality and anti-social behaviour associated with drug-related activity."
