DANCE and music students will be showcasing their talents and raising money to help feed families at a winter festival at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton next month.

The free festival, on December 3, will be opened by Southampton Sheriff Valerie Laurent and support Southampton City Mission’s food bank.

It will feature craft stalls, food, and festive familly fun.

There will be sports demonstrations, an art competition, children’s crafts and a raffle featuring an Xbox and FIFA 23.

More than 20 craft stalls will offer jewellery, decorations, art, toiletries, clothing and beauty products.

Music students from Tauntons and sister college St Vincent in Gosport will perform contemporary rock and indie classics with a festive flavour, alongside sets from Capoeria Agitu, Southampton Music Services and the Polish School Choir.

A flashmob performance from the college’s annual spring musical, The Addams Family, should cause a stir, while you can record your favourite song in the studio.

Players from American football club Solent Seahawks will demonstrate the sport while Becky Lea Yoga will run taster sessions.

Street food and sweet snacks will be on sale from 11am to 3pm.
