A NEW Forest hotel is to reopen in December following a multi-million-pound refurbishment.
Stanwell House, a privately owned boutique hotel in the centre of Lymington, is to open its doors once again on Friday, December 16.
Lance Bartlett, general manager at Stanwell House, said: "We’re really excited to be opening our doors and welcoming back guests to the hotel. This is the result of months of hard work for so many people and the last thing we wanted to do was to rush it and not have everything perfect for opening.

"We appreciate everyone’s patience and it has been great to see how many people are anticipating our reopening. We finally have a date to welcome people back and we can’t wait for our guests to experience all the hard work and money that has gone into making the hotel a luxury boutique for everyone to enjoy.
"We want to give a special thanks to the local Lymington community, who through these many months have been so supportive – we can’t wait to give back to them through our trademark Stanwell experience."
Guests will experience interiors filled with personality and unique touches, showcasing luxury soft furnishings, carefully considered features and modern amenities – creating the ultimate home-from-home environment.
Three new dining options are available at the hotel, aiming to cater for a variety of occasions, from an exquisite, fine dining experience to more casual, comforting dishes.
The Samphire Restaurant focuses predominantly on seafood, promising attentive service, sumptuous décor and great food.
The Salt Bar, which is open to all with direct High Street access, will appeal to those looking for a light bite or a casual feast. The menu offers a great selection of family favourites and comforting seasonal dishes.
The Orangery now features a stylish cocktail bar, featuring afternoon tea and a new Champagne and Oyster menu.
Stanwell House sits just a short stroll from the Quayside and is on the doorstep of the New Forest National Park.
