A WEATHER warning is in place for snow and ice in Southampton this morning as temperatures plummet.
Starting at 9.52am today, the yellow warning issued by the Met Office is expected to last until 1pm.
Residents have been warned that some disruption is likely due to icy surfaces, with snowfall in a few places.
The Met Office has said that some roads and railways are likely to be affected by longer journey times by road, bus and train.
Some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths are also to be expected.
It has also been said that some injuries may occur from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
It is one of many yellow warnings issued across the country today and covers most of Hampshire as well as Dorset.
