BOTTLED water sites may have to "close for restocking", Southern Water has warned.

Today, thousands of households and businesses have been left without water or very low pressure.

Southern Water claim this is due to being out surpassed by supply due to leaks caused by the drop in temperatures.

Temporary water stations have been set up, but the company has warned that they may need to close for restocking.

On Twitter they said: "Our bottled water sites in #SouthHampshire may close briefly to restock. Please visit our website to check before you travel.

"For those heading to Winchester Park and Ride South, it’s very busy at the moment but our site at Park and Ride East is quiet."

The water sites are found at East Winchester Park and Ride, South Winchester Park and Ride, and Places Leisure, Eastleigh.

Delays of up to 20 minutes are building around Places Leisure, Eastleigh.

Queues are backing onto Passfield Avenue between Chestnut Avenue and Leigh Road.
