THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

SHANE BARTLETT, 34, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Admitted two charges of theft. Ordered to pay compensation of £82.22.

KARL POWELL, 39, of Nuffield Court, Southampton. Admitted one charge of failing to provide police with a specimen of breath, one charge of driving without a licence and one charge of driving without insurance. Disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

DEAN ANGEL, 38, of Millbrook Road East, Southampton. Admitted one charge of criminal damage. Remanded on conditional bail until the next hearing on January 27 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

MATTHEW LANG, 34, of Burgess Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of drink driving. Remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing on January 10 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

MICHAEL PERRY, 29, of Goose Green, Lyndhurst. Admitted one charge of speeding. Driving licence endorsed with three points and fined £416. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £42 and court costs of £90.

PETER SCARFF, 60, of Armada Close, Rownhams. Admitted two charges of assault by beating. Remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing on January 25 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

CHARLIE BERRY, 19, Coppice Close, Ashley. Admitted one charge of assault by beating. Jailed for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay compensation of £250.

HARRY FITZGERALD, 26, of Bowland Rise, New Milton. Admitted one charge of drug driving. Disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £523.

JENSON BARNES, 20, of Wolfe Close, Winchester. Admitted one charge of drug driving. Disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £205.
