Let’s take a look at the properties costing city residents an arm and a leg.

  • SO19 - £276,900

This comes after a price growth of 7.2 per cent over the last year.

Richard Donnell, director of research and insight at Zoopla said: “The shock of higher mortgage rates hit buyers in October, with demand now down 50 per cent and sales agreed down 28 per cent compared to last year.

“But house prices rose 7.2 per cent over the year and 1 in 14 homeowners moved house, making 2022 another strong year for the market.

“We’re anticipating 1 million housing sales in 2023.”
