A THREE-bedroom semi-detached house in Southampton is to be auctioned with a guide price of £230-250,000.

The freehold property at 34 King Edward Avenue is among 142 lots in the first of eight auctions this year by Clive Emson Auctioneers, the regional land and property auctioneers covering southern England and a member of Southampton Property Association.

Mike Marchant, a senior auction appraiser, said: “The house is largely in good order but would benefit from some minor improvement.

“The majority of properties in the road have had the front garden converted to provide off-road parking, which is something purchasers may wish to consider, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”

The property’s ground floor features include: a living room, dining room kitchen, rear conservatory with a store cupboard and a cloakroom with W.C.

The first-floor boasts three bedrooms and a bathroom with a W.C, while the outside has a spacious rear garden followed by a smaller one at the front of the house overlooking the road, with the garden shed located at the back of the property.

Lot 99 of 142 at the auction sees 0.7 acres of land up for offer, north-east of The Farmer’s Home pub, Heathen Street, Durley, is guided at £200,000-£220,000.

Rob Marchant, Clive Emson Auctioneers’ Hampshire auctioneer, said: “This enclosed field is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the last undeveloped street-facing sites in this popular village.

“It is considered that the site may have potential for other uses, including re-development, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”

The bidding at the auction commences on Monday February 6, lasting for 48 hours where lots end in three-minute increments before concluding on Wednesday February 8.
