Do you remember Ringwood railway station, Shopping Centre, The Regal or even Key Markets?
Can you remember the Cattle Market - which closed in 1989 - long before Waitrose and the Furlong Centre appeared?
These pictures, taken from old postcards, show Ringwood as it was in the 1970s.
Ringwood was founded in the Anglo-Saxon period, a settlement on the River Avon.
The first mentions of its existence date back to 961 when King Edgar gave 2,640 acres of land to Abingdon Abbey.
In 1086, according to the Domesday Book, there were 56 villagers, 21 smallholders, eight slaves, and one riding man.
