A PENSIONER has been hauled before court after he assaulted a care worker and paramedics.

Royston Walker assaulted an emergency care assistant in the city while she was carrying out her duty as a worker.

The court heard how the 70-year-old carried out the assault on March 14 last year.

On November 11, 2021, he assaulted two paramedics, just one month after assaulting another paramedic on October 10, 2021.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted two charges of common assault on an emergency worker and three charges of assaulting by beating on an emergency worker.

Walker, of Neptune Court, Southampton, was remanded on unconditional bail until the next hearing on March 22 at the request of the defence.
