An overturned car prompted a police response in West End this afternoon.

Officers were called to the high street just after 2pm today following the crash, which resulted in a car rolling over.

The female driver reported no injuries.

There was heavy traffic in the area on approach at the time of the incident, but it has since eased.

Police left the scene at 3pm.

This comes after a woman was killed after she was hit by a BMW on the same road in December.

The grey BMW was travelling along West End High Street heading westbound on December 10 when the driver collided with the victim, Teresa Grimes, on the pavement.
