A CONVICTED sex offender has avoided jail after breaching a court order by creating accounts on multiple online dating services.

Patryk Orlowski appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday after creating accounts on Plenty of Fish, Kik and Badoo.

The 40-year-old of Salerno Road, Southampton, was convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child using chat applications in 2020.

But after signing the sex offenders' register, he failed to tell police about new usernames he had created, in breach of his notification requirements.

The court was previously told how he had created the username “PATSOTON123” on the dating app Plenty of Fish as well as creating the name “PATKUAS82” on the messaging service Kik.

He also set up accounts on the dating sites BBW Cupid and Badoo Appearing.

Orlowski admitted to five counts of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the accounts.

He was released on bail in December and appeared in court on Thursday for sentencing.

Magistrates imposed a 26-week sentence suspended for a year.

He must complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay £85 in costs and a £154 surcharge.
