A major airline is set to host an open day later this month in Winchester, where potential candidates could be hired as cabin crew.

Dubai-based airline Emirates is to hold an open day for recruitment at the Holiday Inn in Winchester on Thursday, February 23.

The world’s largest international airline is looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering simple yet personalised hospitality while creating memorable experiences for its customers.

What criteria will you need to fit for Emirates?

On the website, Emirates says candidates will need to be:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages are an advantage)
  • A natural team player with a personality that shines
  • At least 160cm tall and able to reach 212cm high
  • Able to meet the UAE’s employment visa requirements

Additionally, they will need to have:

  • At least one year of hospitality or customer service experience
  • A minimum of high school (Grade 12) education
  • No visible tattoos while in Emirates cabin crew uniform

Candidates will also need to bring along an up-to-date CV, a valid ID or passport copy and an education certificate copy.

The day will start out with an introduction where the recruitment team provide an overview of the role and what's expected.

Group activities and an online test will then be completed before a final interview is conducted.
