A MAN has died following a crash on Marchwood bypass on Monday evening.

The 68-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a van and a car near to the Priory Clinic.

Police were called out some time between 6.50pm and 6.55pm.

The crash involved a Volkswagen Transporter and a Suzuki Swift.

The next of kin of the victim, who was from Salisbury, have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The road was closed for five hours while officers investigated the scene. It has now been reopened.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or anyone who may have seen someone waiting to cross the road at the location.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone who may have been passing through the area between 6.45pm and 6.55pm who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.
